Our home is nestled in the foothills above Golden, Colorado—private, peaceful, and worth the drive!

• GPS-Friendly Route:
  Enter our address into Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps, and it will guide you using the main paved roads. This is the most straightforward and reliable route for all guests. Keep somewhat of an eye on the nav.

• If You’re Coming from the Airport:
  Your navigation will likely bring you through the edge of Golden and then onto Golden Gate Canyon Road—a scenic and winding drive up into the mountains.

Important:

• Cell service may drop out once you start up the canyon and may not return until you reach our house.

• Make sure your navigation is loaded and running before you begin the canyon drive, which usually takes about 20-25 minutes.

• If you’re prone to feeling uneasy on mountain roads, try to look outward, not downward, especially while ascending the switchbacks. Trust the road, take your time, and enjoy the ride!

• Mountain Driving Tips:
  Well-maintained dirt roads are common near our home. Navigation apps may avoid these dirt roads even when they’re safe and well-traveled. If your route seems longer than expected, it’s probably because your GPS is sticking to paved roads. No worries — just take it slowly and enjoy the views.

Mountain Driving Etiquette:
There are many wider areas along the roads where you can safely pull off if there are cars behind you. Our experience is that it's more peaceful if you let the faster driver get past. The locals really appreciate this courtesy, and it helps everyone enjoy the trip more comfortably. Also, on narrow dirt roads, vehicles are rare, but those that have the "roll down the mountain" side of the road have the right of way, so please yield accordingly.

Arrival & Parking Info

Welcome to our mountain home! Here’s how to get in and park smoothly:

• Gate Access:
  The Redtail Ranch gate is just 50 feet from where you turn onto Redtail Road (black and white realtor sign). You’ll enter using the code 2337 (that spells “BEER” on phone dialer—easy to remember!). The gate will automatically close behind you, so just drive through after entering the code.

• Getting to the House & Parking:
  After the gate, take the first right onto Highland Road and follow it until you see a horse trailer and storage container on the left—this is where we ask guests to park. Our house is about 100 feet further up on the right.
  For the wedding day, the driveway near the house will be set up with tables and catering, so please park near the trailer to keep that area clear.

• If You’re Arriving After Dark:
  The 100-foot walk from parking to the house can feel longer in the dark, so don’t hesitate to text us for help or a flashlight escort. You should have cell coverage at the parking area, or you can connect to our WiFi:
