Important Tips for Your Stay

  • Altitude & Oxygen:
The air is thinner here than at sea level, which means less oxygen is available. This can affect you in different ways—especially if you’re not used to higher elevations. Please:

    • Drink plenty of water to stay well hydrated.

    • Be mindful of your alcohol consumption, as altitude can amplify its effects.

    • Take it easy for the first day or so to let your body adjust.

    • Wear sunscreen and a hat while outdoors—the sun is stronger up here!

    • We keep a few cans of oxygen to help those who are having any altitude issues…just ask.

  • What to Wear:
Mountain evenings can get chilly, even in summer. We recommend layering your clothing and bringing a jacket or sweater. Comfortable shoes are a must, especially if you want to explore the land or nearby trails.

  • Packing Tips:
To make your stay comfortable, consider bringing:

    • Hiking shoes or sturdy walking shoes

    • Sunscreen

    • Refillable water bottles… Its wonderful & delicious rocky mountain water, but there are some natural compounds that we filter out for drinking, so refill bottle where you know the water is filtered. Ours is on the fridge door and the small faucet at the kitchen sink

    • Sunglasses and hats

    • Warm layers for cooler evenings
